In the park where the willow tree stands
It was quiet, silent, still
The wind howled, like a messenger
Bringing me voices, music, sounds
The trees swayed, whooshing and whizzing
Giving me comfort, consolation, company
The rain sashayed, north and south
Making me sigh, sniffle, cry
I sided with the rain, ever so together
And sobbed, wailed, cried
Was it the rain or was it my tears
Causing my face to be wet, damp, moist
I remembered, recalled, recollected
Where we sat a year ago, a decade ago, a century ago
You sat here and i sat there
We laughed, joked, giggled
It was Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday
I stared into your eyes, the ever-so-blur eyes
They shone, glimmered sparkled
I smiled, ever so slightly
Showing fondness, adoration, love
Our hands held, so delicately
As we smiled grinned beamed
The day you left, it was raining, raining, raining
Wet, cold, sickening
